Hey guys, How are you all doing? I have been reading a lot of Day in the life posts (may be i am nosy?) because I would love to see what a typical day looks like. So I thought it will be fun to chronicle a typical working day. Here it goes.
5.15 am – Alarm goes off. I hit snooze button.
5.30 am – Alarm goes off again. Time to get moving. Brush , have bath, dry hair, get ready for the day.
6.00 am – Wake up Smriti, make sure she is brushing her teeth. Head downstairs to make coffee. Also start prepping for breakfast, lunch and snacks.
6.30 am – Finish packing lunches, snacks while drinking coffee.
6.45 am – Head upstairs to see if Smriti is ready. Give her milk and check on hubby and dhriti.
7.00am – Smriti leaves to school.(we carpool, so this week a friend will drop the kids).
7.15 am – Feed dhriti milk, give bath, change diaper, clothes.
7.30 am – Get all the things, and time to get ready to head out the door.
7.40am – Drop Dhriti at day care and talk to her teacher. Dhriti still cries when I drop her off, so I quickly come out without she noticing me.
7.50 am – Today I physio therapy, so I head out there.
8.15 am – Arrive few minutes early, so I snack on banana muffins(part of my breakfast) while waiting.
8.30-9.15 am – physio therapy. working on the wrist movements.
9.20 am – Arrive at work. Check emails, and finally complete my rest of the breakfast – muffin and few strawberries.
9.30 – 11.00 am – Work , work ,work

1.00 pm – Back to work
2.00 pm – Time for weekly meeting with my team.
2.30 pm – Meeting is done. I am still full from my lunch, so take a quick walk outside. Its a beautiful fall day.

3.15 – 4.30 pm – Work ,work work. Finally done work for the day. I am out the door to pick up the kiddos.
5.00 pm – Arrive at smriti school, pick her up. Chat with her about her day while driving to pick dhriti from day care.
5.15 pm – Arirve at dhriti day care. She runs to me the moment she sees. Hug her, pack her items while talking to her teacher. She ate all her food, and had a great day.
5.30 pm – Arrive home, put things away. Hubby is home as he isnt feeling well. Kids run to him and they play for some time. Ask smriti to chnage into pjs. Start working on dinner while making a bottle for dhriti. She is hungry and clinges to me until I feed her.
5.44 pm – Feed dhriti milk, give smriti a mug of chocolate milk. Turn on the tv with some nursery rhymes, the only way I can get dinner done with out any interruption.
6.00 pm – I made eggplant curry in the morning. So start making tomato rasam, broken wheat porridge for dhriti.
6.30 pm – Dinner is done, finally change to comfy clothes. Start a load of laundry. Talk to few friends about the Yearly Diwali Party we are organizing in the community.
7..00 pm – Dinner time for kiddos. Feed dhriti porridge while still listening to nursery rhymes.
7.15 pm – Dhriti is tired, so take her upstairs, change diaper, put on pjs and rock her to sleep.
