Football season is here and it might be also nicknamed as “snack season”. Every week spending time on the couch or at tailgating and mindless munching on snacks can lead to some serious weight gain if you’re not careful. So instead serve the below healthy snacks, which will keep your waistline in check.

Skinny Jalapeno Poppers: My favorite healthy snack and is my family favorite too. Spicy Jalapeno with low fat cream cheese stuffing topped with bread crumbs.
Mini Cauliflower Pizza Bites : A healthy gluten free pizza bites and a finger friendly snack that are easy to pack for game day gatherings.
Chocolate Covered Strawberry Footballs : These festive desserts are healthier than your average baked dessert, so don’t feel guilty about eating two (or three!). All you need is a microwave, berries, chocolate and the willpower to save a few for halftime.
Buffalo Cauliflower Bites & Ranch Dip : With the same texture and flavor as chicken wings, these cauliflower bites are a fiber-filled alternative for health-conscious and vegetarian tailgaters. Pair them with raw celery and a cool dip.
Buffalo Hummus : Skip the chips and dip and snack on some spicy hummus and veggies instead! This recipe has the same buffalo wing flavor as hot wings, but none of the unhealthy fats.
Baked Pita Chips : A healthier alternative to the deep fried pita chips which has a wonderful crispness. A very easy to make snack and perfect to dip into the Buffalo Hummus.
Nuts: I love the trail mixes with a variety of nuts, blended with dried fruits too.
