You may have noticed me being around less than usual. I’ve had so much going on in my life and I honestly didn’t have the energy to be on Twitter or on the blog much so that’s why I’ve been MIA. So what’s going on?
Nothing exciting, just regular work, household chores, taking care of the home and family put the blogging in the back end. Every day I have been thinking to write this post and finally got time today to publish this.
We have been doing a lot of DIY projects around the home, including building new wooden racks for basement storage. So we organized the basement and put all the stuff in the plastic storage boxes. I even bought couple more clear storage boxes (4$ per bin at ikea) .
A lot of my neighbors have their patio stamped concrete. I dont know about the stamped concrete until I saw it and from then secretly wishing to transform my plain concrete patio to stamped. As its not feasible we decided to stain the concrete and be satisfied. I should say that I love the finished product and it looks so much better now
This summer its gonna be great as husband’s cousins are going to visit us for a week during July long weekend. And later in the week my in laws are going to be here. My daughter is pretty excited from the moment she came to know her grand parents are going to visit us.
So last weekend we went and bought new furniture for the Guest Bedroom. Previously we just had a queen mattress and a box. The furniture includes new bed frame (queen), a chest , night stand and a lamp. Love the guest bedroom now and just few wall decor and curtains the room will be complete. While we are shopping for the furniture, my daughter was secretly trying out beds for her room. (she currently sleeps in guest bedroom and still brainstorming ideas of how to decorate her room). Also bought a new umbrella for the patio furniture. With few more cushions and pillows the patio will be finished. Cant wait to enjoy the summer evenings with lots of grilling. Last weekend for Memorial Day we had a small get together where we enjoyed Indian snacks esp pani puri. I love it and its my favorite street food growing up in India.
We planted a lot of flowers in the backyard. Some of the herbs and veggies we planted in April have been blooming and I am pretty excited to see them grow.
