Last week I was sent couple of KIND Bars to review. The box contains Healthy Grains, Clusters and KIND Plus Bars. I was thrilled when I saw the products in the box.
KIND bars motto is: “Wholesome natural ingredients you can see and pronounce”. Every single one of their products is certified kosher and certified gluten free. They are also free of sulphur dioxide, GMOs and trans fats. Several of them are low on the glycemic index, good news for diabetics. But the best part is that they are really delicious!
KIND bars have a new variety of KIND Healthy Grain Bars that are gluten free. Each bar contains 18-22 grams of whole grains sourced from a blend of 100% unique whole grains including amaranth, quinoa, gluten-free oats, millet and buckwheat making them the perfect snack for any healthy lifestyle. The bars are available in the following flavors:
- Dark Chocolate Chunk
- Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate
- Vanilla Blueberry
- Maple Pumpkin Seeds with Sea Salt
- Oats & Honey with Toasted Coconut
I was sent 3 KIND Healthy Grain Bars to try for myself and review. When the box arrived I was very excited to see how great the flavors sounded, I love anything with dark chocolate, so the dark chocolate bars stood out right away.
After trying all 3 bars, the Dark Chocolate Chunk and the Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate flavors are my favorite. They were delicious and great for an afternoon snack. I like that they aren’t too heavy, but are still packed with whole grains.
I was also very excited to try out their new KIND Healthy Grains. These bags of healthy snacks include flax seeds and whole grains (such as amaranth, quinoa, oats, millet and buckwheat), in addition to the delicious flavors of each bag. I was sent 2 varieties of Healthy Grain Clusters including Peanut Butter Whole Grain Clusters (my personal favorite), and Maple Quinoa Clusters with Chia .
They are a great snack – I keep them on my desk for snacking throughout the day. I have also used in my greek yogurt for toppings and its was ah-mazing !! While I eat them right out of the bag, you can also eat them in yogurt, or over milk like a traditional cereal. They are gluten free and filled with loads of fiber.
KIND bars are nut-based and about the size of a small candy bar. Some contain dried fruit, some have dark chocolate, and some contain crispy puffed rice sweetened with honey. You can also choose which nutritional feature you want to emphasize in their Plus bars (which have plus signs on the package): anti-oxidants, protein, calcium, fiber or omega 3.
The nut varieties include almonds, macadamia, cashews, pecans, walnuts, peanuts, and brazil nuts. All contain at least some fiber and protein; actual amounts vary depending on ingredients. The toughest part is deciding which one is best! There are about 20 varieties of KIND bars. My personal favorites are: Cranberry Almond + Antioxidants, Dark Chocolate Cherry Cashew + Antioxidants, Almond Walnut Macadamia + Protein, Nut Delight, Almond Cashew with Flax + Omega 3.
Have you tried any of the KIND Bars?
